二人 のアルチザンが感性と芸術性に共通点を見出し絆が生まれました。
自然をあらゆる側面から探求すること。陶と金属という異なる素材をマテリアルとして生み出した作品を展示します。彼女たちは異文化に深い関心を寄せ、様々な背景を持つ人々との出会いに喜びを感じています。自然や環境への関心を超えて、手仕事と美への思いを共有しているのです。
互いの作品が会話をするかのように補い合い、空間をともにすることでより豊かな表現が生まれると信じています。

「TIDEWATERS（感潮域）」

タイトルに込められた想いは、海と自然の力を示唆しています。彼女たちに影響を与えるその力は、地球上の生命や宇宙を支配する力とも結びついています。

自然を主なインスピレーションの源として活動するジュエリー・アーティスト。ヨーテボリのHDKとオスロ国立芸術アカデミーで教授を務める。彼女のジュエリー作品は、オスロの国立美術館、Kunstindustrimuseet、ヨーテボリのRöhsska Museet、ルーヴル美術館、パリの装飾美術館、ベルリンのKunstgewerbmuseumなど、数多くの美術館に収蔵されている。

シセル・ハヌム Sidsel Hanum  https://www.hanum.no/
ノルウェー南部を拠点に活動する陶芸家。自然からインスパイアされたフォルムを構築する緻密で繊細な磁器作品で知られる。FormatギャラリーとJ.Lohmannギャラリーの代表として、ニューヨーク、シカゴ、ロンドンのフェアに出展しているほか、トロンハイムのNordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum、オスロの国立美術館、ベルゲンのKODE美術館やコンポーザー・ホームなどに作品が収蔵されている。

We are two artisans who have found each other through friendship and our common artistic attitude. Our interest in nature in all its aspects makes us want to create an exhibition with different materials, clay and metals. In the same way, we find joy exploring other cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds. Beyond our interest in nature and ecology, we share a love for craftsmanship and aesthetic qualities. We believe our works complement each other, and find it enriching to exhibit together. The title TIDEWATERS alludes to the sea and the forces of nature that we are all affected by, binding life on earth together with the forces that rule the universe.

On the table in front of me in the workshop is a large collection of natural forms, everything from dried plants and seed capsules to shells and crystal forms. For years, I have collected these treasures, which reveal to me nature's principles of growth and development. I am fascinated by the beauty and drama, how nature recreates itself through mysterious processes. My jewelry works reflect the nature within us and around us. It is about hope and belonging. After a finished piece has left the workshop, it also acquires an emotional and social meaning. Jewelry is meant to be worn by someone and become part of their story.  


S i d s e l H a n u m
The tides are the result of the moon's gravity, causing the sea to rise and fall in an endless pulse.
There, in this zone, I find my inspiration for a multitude of forms. I sit on a reef far out there and see the foam from the movements of the sea coming towards me. It is the foam I see and want to tell about. I build layer upon layer with porcelain, a construction of clay in the same way that nature's forms grow and heal. I like to think that the ebb and flow of the world's oceans unites the people of the world as one. Like a big oval. My reality on an island along the coast of Norway includes and involves a large and shared universe.
